I had the pleasure of meeting with a gold canyon candles Independent consultant recently and I found this interesting. As you know, I’m quite the green energy freak, as well as anything that has to do with renewable resources. Just ask my wife. We haven’t thrown away a milk jug in 7 years. That is, not before it’s been re-purposed as a watering can or something else before it hits the recycling bin.

Gold Canyon is a candle company based out of Arizona and as far as I know they’ve been around for awhile. They claim to have the strongest smelling and longest lasting scents, according to the rep I spoke with.

I will admit that their scents are great and I ended up picking up one type in particular I wanted to tell you about. It’s called a soy based wax candle. The plant based soy wax is made from renewable resources. Compared to the other candles I looked at, it looks a little darker or creamier. I also learned that the wax doesn’t have any GMOs, which is something I’ve started looking for ever since I watched a documentary and also read up on GMOs.

All in all, I think it’s great that candle companies are taking the extra steps to keep things green. And as long as they do, they’ll keep getting my business!
